Every Swell Marks marker begins as a solid metal blank before being individually laser engraved, hand finished, cleaned, protected with wax, and carefully inspected in our workshop in Coronado, California.
While precision equipment creates the artwork, the finishing process is completed by hand to bring out the character of each piece. Every marker is inspected before it leaves the shop to ensure it meets our standards.

The appearance of your marker will naturally evolve depending on the material.
Brass and copper develop a rich patina through use and exposure to the elements, creating a finish that is unique to each piece. Stainless steel is more resistant to change and will retain much of its original appearance with normal use.
Many golfers enjoy the character that develops over time, while others prefer to periodically clean or polish their marker to restore more of its original luster. A light metal polish followed by a thin coat of protective wax can help preserve its appearance.
Whichever path you choose, every Swell Marks marker is designed to tell the story of the rounds it has played.
Our standard golf ball markers measure 1.25 inches (32 mm) in diameter and are precision cut. While this is the standard size, design may influence how big or small the marker may be.
They are designed to feel substantial in your hand while remaining comfortable to carry in your pocket.
Custom work is considered on a limited basis.
Our primary focus is creating thoughtfully designed Swell Marks collections inspired by surfing, the ocean, and craftsmanship. That said, if you have a project in mind—whether it's a custom design, event marker, small batch, or larger collaboration—we'd love to hear about it.
