A Life Spent Reading Water
Professionally, I've spent nearly two decades studying the ocean. Personally, I've spent countless mornings in it.
Whether studying seafloor terrain, paddling into a winter swell, or walking onto the first tee, I've always been drawn to pursuits where conditions matter and details make the difference.
As a U.S. Navy Meteorology and Oceanography Officer, I've spent my career studying the waves, weather, currents, and seafloor terrain that shape our world.
Years spent reading the ocean change the way you see it. You begin to notice the hidden contours beneath the surface, the energy traveling across entire ocean basins, and the underwater geography that transforms a distant swell into a memorable wave.
That same perspective has followed me beyond work—into the lineup, onto the golf course, and eventually into the workshop.
Swell Marks grew from the intersection of those passions—a desire to create meaningful objects inspired by the places, patterns, and stories carried by the sea.
