The design begins in bare stainless steel. A laser creates the red coloration directly on the surface of the metal, producing its bold contrast without paint or enamel. Each marker is then finished by hand to clean the lines, bring back the surrounding stainless and give the piece its final character.

Because the color is created directly on the metal, subtle variations can occur from one marker to the next. That individuality is part of the process—and part of what makes each Red Sun its own.
